Known Objects:
♦Broken sewing machine needles.
♦Hand sewing needles.
♦Pins or staples.
♦Safety pins.
♦Cutting blades – fashioned into knives.
♦Broken or burred edges on accessories.
♦Metal zips.
♦Sharp points or edges on accessories – including plastic zip ends – top stops.
♦Wired ribbon.
♦Brooches.
♦Scalples

WHY HAZARD FOR CHILDREN’S CLOTHING:
Sharp objects/points pose a cutting, piercing or scratching injury hazard to the wearer / user.
Foreign bodies left in garments during manufacture can also result in the wearer / user being distressed.

Metal detectors are a requirement for Softgoods Manufacturers and must compliment needle
control and other quality procedures. Refer to Needle Policy.
